Measure, monitors & documents temperature and humidity!

Monitor rooms, storage areas, conservation laboratories, display cases, etc... for temperature and humidity.  Each Museum Hygrometer has, two wired sensors or four wireless sensors.  The wired sensors come with twenty-foot sensor wires for each sensors.  The wireless sensors can be positioned up to one hundred feet from the base station.

It does not get any easier than this

The Museum hygrometer is completely electronic so problems of older mechanicalWireless Hygrometer hygrometers are eliminated.  There are no moving parts and nothing to wear out or replace.  It needs no maintenance.  You can set it in place and forget about it.  There is no recalibration every time someone touches it or moves it to another place.  This is an instrument that will fit right in with the exhibits.  The sensors are small and can be tucked inside a display case or Velcro it to the wall without drawing attention to themselves.  The wireless sensors are operated on battery power.  The batteries have a life of approximately one year.

A series of internal menus make the Hygrometer completely stand alone so that it does not need a computer.  In fact, it never needs to be hooked up to a computer unless you want to copy the stored data to archive or print it out.  All internal menus are password protected so that unauthorized persons can not change settings, although they can freely scroll through the displayed charts of temperature and humidity readings.

Two wired or four wireless remote sensors

The Museum Hygrometer can be used to monitor the temperature and humidity in several different rooms or several areas in the same room.  Each of its sensor modules continually samples the temperature and humidity sending data to the base station where it is displayed as a chart and stored in memory.

Digital Chart Recorder
  • No more frequent recalibrations
  • Less expensive than mechanical Hygrometers
  • There are no paper charts or pens required
  • Hygrometer accuracy (temperature ± 0.3°C, humidity ± 3%RH).
  • Two remote wired temperature/humidity sensors can be 20 to 100 feet from the monitor
  • Stores up to 9 months of history for each sensor
  • Free computer download program included
  • Back-up battery protects your data for up to 40 hours during power outages
  • Installs in minutes with a simple menu prompting system

Downloaded to your PC for a paper chart or archiving

The Hygrometer is entirely electronic so there are no delicate balances, hairs, or springs to get upset.  This means that the sensors remain in calibration.  Temperature and humidity samples are all stored in the on board memory and displayed on the large LCD display.

It is easy to see what has happened over time. One quick glance at the display is all you need to see the last day or two.  To see a longer time period you can zoom out to increase the time frame displayed.  Every time you push the zoom out button the amount of time on the chart is doubled, until finally you can see a year or more of data.  The hygrometer can actually store and display a over a year of temperature and Humidity history if you are taking a sample every 10 minutes.

Internal alarm and auto dialer option

The Hygrometer audio-visual internal alarm can be set for high and low temperature and humidity.  Settings include a trigger point and a delay so that momentary swings of temperature or humidity do not trigger false alarms.  The hygrometer is also equipped with a relay so that an external alarm, buzzer, light, or auto dialer will be triggered.  This feature makes it possible for you to be notified if conditions become unsafe even in the middle of the night.
