"All Mold Can Cause Health Effects"

Molds can grow anywhere there is moisture. Although it helps to periodically check humidity, that really only tells you what the humidity is at that moment.  If you think you have moisture trapped in the walls, attic, closets, or the basement you should measure the temperature and humidity over a period of weeks or even months.

During long dry spells the moisture may be very low but can build up rapidly during the hot summer months when temperatures in those enclosed spaces can easily reach over one hundred degrees.

Could your building be sick?

The Viewer uses external probes to track humidity and temperature.  It's probes can be placed in walls, attics, closets, under sinks, or where ever you think you might have moisture buildup.  If the RH shows more than 60% it is time to call in professional help or at least take measures to reduce the humidity.

Moisture control-the key to mold control.

The EPA says, "keep humidity less than 60% to prevent mold growth."
